Help, support, develop potential, and promote learning for children, youth, and families of migrant workers to achieve a better life. Ensure that children receive basic human rights in the areas of education, health, and personal status.
APCYF Activities:
Learning Center for Preschool Children
We operate a learning center for preschool children in the Fang District area. We aim to provide comprehensive development opportunities for the children of migrant workers. Our programs focus on physical, mental, emotional, social, and intellectual development, preparing these children for the school system and ensuring their safety while their parents are at work.
Youth Development
We aim to develop the potential of youth from migrant worker families in the Fang District, equipping them with essential life skills to address personal and community challenges. This involves organizing community development activities in collaboration with community leaders and local agencies.
Labor Potential Development
We promote and support groups of working women in forming savings groups, enabling them to borrow money for essential living expenses and invest in their careers. We utilize the concept of “Self-help groups” to enhance the quality of life for both children and families.
Personal status
Another important role of APCYF is to help support children in obtaining legal status, such as birth certificates, identity cards, nationality, and other necessary documents.

Preschool preparation center for children
For more than 10 years, the Association for the Promotion of Children, Youth, and Families (APCYF) has operated a ‘Preschool Preparation Center for Children,’ which has provided teaching and learning for marginalized children. These children, primarily from families of migrant workers in the Mae Kha Subdistrict area and Mon Pin Subdistrict of Fang District, Chiang Mai Province, are served by a total of four centers, with 120 students between the ages of 1.8 and 3 years old. Most of the children who attend the center lack identification documents, rendering them unable to enroll in state-run childcare centers. Their parents, who are migrant workers facing financial hardship, often take their children with them during the daytime while they work in orange orchards, exposing the children to chemical hazards. Consequently, these children have not had the opportunity to develop the necessary skills to prepare for formal schooling.
